All the Smritis, the Puranas, the Darshanas, the

Dharmashastras, the writings of Shaktas,

Shaivas, Vaishnavas, Sauras, as well as the

whole of Buddhism and its Scriptures are

merely so many explanations, comments and

interpretations from different sides, of these

various aspects of the one and only Truth. This

Truth is the sole foundation on which all

religions can rest as on a sure and impregnable

rock;—and more than a rock, for a rock may

perish but this endures for ever.
